Mr Howard Davies
Mr Howard Davies is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Northern General Hospital, with a private practice at Claremont.
He specialises in all conditions related to the Foot and Ankle in adults including trauma, sports injuries and diabetic feet.
He studied Medicine at Manchester University and completed his basic surgical training in the North West of England. After developing an interest in Orthopaedic Surgery he undertook his higher surgical training in Leeds and Cambridge. During this period he gained an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University, studying the effects of using locking plates for fractures.
Throughout his training Mr Davies was interested in Foot & Ankle surgery and came to Sheffield to undertake a one year Fellowship in adult Foot and Ankle surgery in July 2010. After this, he became a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the North West and was appointed as a full time Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals in October 2013. He is actively involved in research and teaching for the South Yorkshire Orthopaedic Rotation.
