Mr Karski is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Wrightington Hospital and is on the specialist register. He qualified from Manchester University in 1999 and underwent his surgical training in the North West of England. He completed his specialist training with a foot and ankle fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, and was awarded a BOFAS travelling fellowship to visit a foot and ankle unit in Baltimore.
Mr Karski specialises in surgery of the ankle, foot and knee. He treats a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions and his surgical practice ranges from toe surgery to ankle replacement. He also treats knee arthritis and performs knee replacements, and knee arthroscopy (key hole surgery) to treat cartilage tears.
Mr Karski is dedicated to teaching and has taught doctors and physiotherapists on multidisciplinary courses, and has also taught GPs on the “Orthopaedics made easy course”.
Mr Karski previous research has been presented nationally and internationally and he has published articles in peer reviewed journals. His ongoing research at Wrightington includes assessing the outcome of the “Mobility” ankle replacement.
