Mr Goldberg OBE is a consultant orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon for adults and children based at the Wellington Hospital in London. He qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (Imperial College London) in 1994 and following specialist fellowships in Europe and the US, he was appointed as Clinical Senior Lecturer in Trauma & Orthopaedics at UCL, and Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore in 2010. His research includes regenerative medicine treatments, including collagen induced cartilage repair (CICR) and the effects of Stem Cell Therapy on Achilles Tendinopathy. He is an international editor for Foot & Ankle International and is highly published and acts as a reviewer for several grant awarding bodies and high impact peer reviewed publications. He has a major interest in clinical trials and is the Chief Investigator on the TARVA trial. He was responsible for the creation of the National Joint Registry for Ankle Replacements and he sits on the Outcomes Committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS). In 2018 he moved his clinical practice to the Wellington Hospital but maintains his research interests at UCL as an Honorary Associate Professor and Imperial College, where he is a Visiting Professor in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
