Steve joined UCL in 2009 and is now the Chair of Health Economics. He has a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York, and a PhD in Economics from City University London. Prior to coming to UCL, he was Reader in the Health Economics Research Group at Brunel University, Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College Business School, and Lecturer in the Department of Economics at City University London. HeHis research interests are primarily in the cost-effectiveness of interventions to improve health across a range of disease areas and population groups, and the determinants of health service use. He sits on a Public Health Advisory Committee at NICE and the NIHR Public Health Research Programme Research Funding Board.
