Mr Blundell is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in adult foot and ankle conditions.
He carried out two fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in Melbourne, Australia in 2001/2 and was awarded an MD for research into foot pressures. He is a Sheffield graduate and completed his higher surgical training in Cambridge and Norwich. Half way through his medical degree, he did a BMedSci degree in Orthopaedic Bioengineering. He was appointed consultant at the Northern General Hospital in 2002 and is Clinical Lead for the Sheffield Foot & Ankle Unit at the hospital.
Mr Blundell is Chairman of The Education Committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS) and also has a place on the Council of BOFAS.
