Mr Kakwani specialises in foot and ankle surgery. He has experience in all aspects of this area including bunion surgery, minimally invasive foot surgery, arthritis, ankle replacement and revision ankle replacement, sports injuries and ankle arthroscopy. Mr Kakwani is a recognised surgical trainer and has led regional and national registrar teaching courses. He is also actively involved in research and has published extensively in foot and ankle surgery.

He qualified from Manchester University in 1999 and underwent his surgical training in the North West of England. He completed his specialist training with a foot and ankle fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, and was awarded a BOFAS travelling fellowship to visit a foot and ankle unit in Baltimore.
Following his radiology training at St Mary’s Hospital, London, Michael Khoo completed a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal and Spinal Imaging at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.
